National Primary
Drinking Water
Regulation Compliance and Other Monitoring
Brick Utilities tests the
water system for other chemical substances and microscopic organisms
found in water for which no standards have been set. The Authority has
taken the initiative to watch for things that have concerned people in
this area even though the Authority is not required to do so. The
Authority has tested for radium-224, NDMA, acrylonitrile, perchlorate,
and styrene. The tests found none of these contaminants. Brick Utilities
is active in protecting the environment and community, and the health
and safety of customers is the Authority’s highest priority.
This Report was prepared using CCR builder and technical assistance
provided by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of
Safe Drinking Water and the American Water Works Association.
The Authority welcomes questions residents may have about Brick
Utilities and the quality of water. Tours of the treatment plant and
laboratory facilities are available to groups and individuals. For more
information, call Joseph
Maggio, P.E., Director of
Water Quality, at (732)

data for community water systems throughout the United States is
